Bevor Sony mit dem Streaming-Dienst PlayStation Now in den USA in der nächsten Woche PlayStation 3-Spiele via Stream auf die PlayStation 4 bringt und damit eine Art Abwärtskompatibilität nachreicht, wurde die aktuelle Liste der Spiele und Preise bekannt gegeben. Die Liste der verfügbaren Spiele wird nach dem offiziellen Start aber stetig erweitert, heißt es. Weiterhin soll der Streaming-Dienst in Zukunft auch Spiele auf ausgewählte Smart TVs und die PS Vita bringen. Auch PS1- und PS2-Titel sollen später noch in die Streaming-Bibliothek aufgenommen werden.
Neben den aufgeführten Einzelangeboten wird Sony auch ein Abo-Modell anbieten, das pro Monat knapp 20 Euro oder für drei Monate knapp 45 Euro kosten wird. Wann PlayStation Now in Europa startet und zu welchem Preisen, bleibt weiterhin unbekannt.
Die aktuelle Übersicht beinhaltet mehr als 100 PlayStation 3-Spiele mit den entsprechenden Preisen (in US-Dollar). Eine Ermäßigung für PlayStation Plus-Mitglieder ist laut Sony nicht geplant. Spieler, die eines der angebotenen Spiele bereits im PSN-Store für die PS3 gekauft haben, werden den entsprechenden Titel auch nicht via PS Now streamen können.
