E3 Game Critics Awards 2018: Resident Evil 2, Battlefield 5, Anthem, Forza Horizon 4 und weitere Spiele ausgezeichnet

Die Gewinner der E3 Game Critics Awards 2018 wurden offiziell enthüllt. Capcoms „Resident Evil 2“ hat die Auszeichnung als Bestes Spiel der Show erhalten und konnte sich damit als Remake eines Spieleklassikers neue Titel wie „Anthem“, „Spider-Man“, „Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice“ und „Super Smash Bros. Ultimate“ hinter sich lassen. Die Auszeichnung für die beste neue Spielemarke ging an den Kreativ-Titel „Dreams“ für PlayStation 4.

Das in vielen Kategorien nominierte „Anthem“ hat sich als „Bestes PC-Spiel“ und „Bestes Actionspiel“ durchgesetzt. Der EA und DICE-Shooter „Battlefield 5“ darf sich als „Bester Multiplayer“ rühmen.  Ales bestes Sportspiel wurde die Fußballsimulation „FIFA 19“ gekürt, während „Forza Horizon 4“ als bestes Rennspiel ausgezeichnet wurde. Das beste Rollenspiel war laut den Abstimmenden „Kingdom Hearts 3“. Abgesehen von den „Special Commendation“ konnten übrigens nur Spiele gewählt werden, die im Rahmen der Messe auch in spielbarer Form präsentiert wurden.
